Parallel Overkill BMS Success
Dual Overkill 120 amp BMS running in parallel WORKS GREAT- though per Steve at Overkill, it is not recommended. I have new 4s 280 amp hour cells, grade A.. Balanced in bulk with AGM battery charger, then topped off with a Hobby LiFe charger. My plan is to get 4 more cells, but I wanted to plan for that time about 2 months from now for shipping.

Wills old video shows overkill as the bms he recommends and I can''t find any newer videos on a setup, but the forum seems to recommend JK as the go to now. Are either of these available for US shipping as id need in the next couple weeks and couldn''t wait the 2-3 month shipping time of AliExpress.

I downloaded the xiaoxiang app. It sees the BMS''s Bluetooth and can give me temp, total V and avg V. But when I go to the menu, the only options are Dahsboard and About Xiaoxang.

Overkill solar: Found the BMSes I bought from them for 1/2 the $130 elsewhere. Those BMSes (24V 8S BMS) do only the BSMing well. Their advertised balancing is pathetic taking probably a year or more to balance a battery with ~180Ahr cells.

BMS stops discharging when there is a single cell over voltage
The BMS bleed dump current balancing default setting is 3.4v which is minimum cell voltage before BMS balancing bleed dump current begins. You can lower this value to start balancing earlier in charge cycle but at a lower setting it may bleed current during non-charging periods.
