A week ago my battery decided to force charge - I put this down to the cold as did others on the FB group. For the last week I have been on IO and the batteries have been charging and discharging normally. Until last night. The battery (cube) was quite happy discharging powering the house. Then the force charge was suppose to start at midnight.

Overnight battery charging
Hi there, first post on this forum and just looking for some advice. I operate a hybrid system with solar panels and battery and have just moved to a new energy tariff with low overnight rates (00:00 to 05:00). I want to use this to charge up my battery overnight form the grid so I use less grid electricity at peak times.

forced charge fast rate does it reduce battery life?
Hi all, I am just after peoples opinions. I have set a forced charge overnight to take advantage of the cheaper rates. Looking at the stats the inverter is charging the batteries really quickly, charging just below 5Kw taking about 1.5 hours to charge.
